Shenzhen Boton Flavors & Fragrances Co., Ltd., founded in 1991, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Boton Group. It is one of the earliest Sino-foreign joint ventures in China engaged in the production and operation of flavors and fragrances, and the first to obtain ISO9001 quality system certification. As a national high-tech enterprise, Shenzhen Boton has built a complete industry chain covering independent R&D, production, and sales in the flavors and fragrances sector.

Currently, Shenzhen Boton produces and markets over 2,000 products, including tobacco flavors, natural flavors, synthetic aroma chemicals, and biotechnology-based flavors. Among these, its core product—tobacco flavors—has achieved full coverage across 18 domestic tobacco enterprises.

Shenzhen Boton boasts the first CNAS-standard laboratory in China’s flavors and fragrances industry, along with a dedicated plant research center and a new materials R&D center. It is equipped with world-class analytical testing instruments and both traditional and modern extraction & separation facilities, and has established a comprehensive raw material analysis database. In addition, Shenzhen Boton houses one provincial-level engineering technology research center, as well as one municipal-level engineering technology research center, one municipal engineering laboratory, and one municipal technology center. In February 2019, approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Shenzhen Boton officially became a Shenzhen Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base.
